The truth is that what will make us be in our essence, what will make us thrive, what will make us live a radiant lifestyle is when we take some time to relax and re-charge. When we take time to sit still in silence and listen to what our body has to say.
The more we run around, the more we add to our to-do lists, we are less and less in our feminine essence. When we “fight” or we ignore what our true nature craves and requires. When we suppress our emotions and desires then they will find other way to be expressed. Either in a way of an illness, depression, anxiety, binge eating, unsatisfactory lifestyle, continuous stress, or a troubled intimate relationship.
We don’t need to add more work or become more structured. What we really need is to awaken our desire to live, to love and to enjoy everything life has to offer. We need to learn how to return into our femininity at the end of a working day.
We have become remarkably successful in business, and in venturing out on our own and creating the foundation of a successful career. More and more women are venturing into their own running very successfully businesses nowadays. As a recent research states, over the last 20 years the percentage of companies owned by women has increased by 100%. As wonderful as this may be, we need to remember that looking after ourselves is as important as the running of our business.
Looking after ourselves it might simply means 15-30 minutes a day. When we come home, all we need to do is to change “hats”. Leaving the “working hat” by the door and putting on the “feminine hat”. By doing that we are helping ourselves to change from our masculine into our feminine. Light some candles, change clothes, have a bath, or treat your body with essential oils. These are some of the ways to change from work mode.
Another way to go into our feminine essence is by moving the energy within us and this happens when we allow ourselves to express freely our feelings. One way is through the form of an ecstatic dance. Put some music on and allowing yourself to move with the music. Feel the music and allow the vibration of the notes to sync inside. Let go the burden of the day. Let go the worries and the stress. Become one with the music. Move without restrictions and boundaries, feel, and touch the body.
Being introduced to the feminine essence and movement years back saved my life. Through movement I’ve learned to love myself, to trust my instincts and to listen to my intuition. I’ve connected with myself into another level and this gave me the freedom to be a better mother, a better partner and running my business in a totally different way with profound results.
